RMT Roads Bulletin – 1st June 2018


Hounslow – Until 18:00 today, Thursday 31 May, Hounslow Road will be closed in both directions between New Road and Hanworth Road, due to utility works.

Brixton – Until 03:00 on Sunday 17 June, there will be lane closures on Brixton Road at the Southey Road junction, due to gas main replacement works.

Brixton – Between 13:00 and 20:00 daily from Friday 1 June until Sunday 3 June, there will be restrictions and closures in place on the following roads: Masey Mews, Bailey Mews, Tralawn Road, Brixton Water Lane, Arlingford Road, Brailsford Road, Railton Road, Rymer Street, Dulwich Road, Carver Road, Winterbrook Road, Stradella Road and Brockwell Park Gardens. There will also be increased pedestrians in the Brixton area. This is due to an event.

Twickenham – From 09:30 until 20:30 on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 June, all roads leading to Twickenham station and around the stadium will be busier than usual, including Chertsey Road. London Road, Whitton Road and Rugby Road will be closed. This is due to an event.

Wembley – From 14:00 until 23:00 on Saturday 2 June, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, A1, A40, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is due to an event.

Westminster – From 11:00 until 17:00 on Sunday 3 June, traffic will be disrupted on the following roads: North Carriage Drive, Park Lane, Piccadilly, Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket and Pall Mall East. This is due to an event.
The eastbound slip road from Hyde Park Corner to A4 Piccadilly will be closed until Sunday night for a crane operation. The Piccadilly Underpass is open as normal.

London Bridge – From approximately 15:30 until 17:00 on Sunday 3 June, London Bridge and the following approach roads will be closed: Borough High Street northbound from Marshalsea Street, Southwark Street eastbound from Southwark Bridge Road, Tooley Street westbound and Bishopsgate southbound at London Wall. This is due to an event.

Gunnersbury – From 09:00 on Monday 4 June until 09:00 on Tuesday 5 June, traffic will be reduced to two lanes on A406 Gunnersbury Avenue. This is due to work on Power Road Bridge.

King William Street will reopen to southbound traffic on Sunday 3 June. Gracechurch Street northbound, London Bridge northbound and Cannon Street eastbound remain temporarily closed to facilitate a full replacement of gas main.
The London Nocturne returns to London on Saturday 9 June. Several road closures will be enforced from 6am on Saturday 9 to 2am on Sunday 10 June.
On Sunday 3 June London Bridge will be closed between 12pm and 7pm for an event.
