Cadent have decided that a full replacement of the gas main at Gracechurch Street by London Bridge is required. Replacing the old, failing gas main will be undertaken in three phases through to September 2018. This first phase started on Sunday 22 April and will last until early June 2018. It will require:

• Cannon Street and Eastcheap closed eastbound
• King William Street closed southbound from Bank Junction to London Bridge

A works embargo has been put in place on all other major streets in the area, the partial reopening of Bank Junction will remain in place and we continue to work with TfL on traffic signal timings in the area.
